An ancient Scottish variety with an intense, aromatic flavour displaying notes of aniseed. Reputedly brought by the Tironensian monks at the founding of Arbroath Abbey in 1178. It produces small, yellow fruits that ripen in late August. Best eaten fresh straight from the tree as it does not store well
Please note: A stake and tie are required for all bare-root trees. We recommend a 50mm x 1500mm machine rounded wooden stake with a rubber tree tie for best results. These are available in the online shop under sundries
