The Green Pear of Yair is an old, early-season Scottish dessert pear originating from the early 19th century (recorded around 1801-1826) in Yair, Peeblesshire in the Scottish Borders. This was one of the most highly regarded in the Clydeside orchards, yielding regular crops of juicy, refreshing, green-skinned fruit in September.
Please note: A stake and tie are required for all bare-root trees. We recommend a 50mm x 1500mm machine rounded wooden stake with a rubber tree tie for best results. These are available in the online shop under sundries
