Pear 'Hessle' – Pear - Dessert - bareroot tree

A remarkably hardy and prolific traditional variety that crops reliably even in cold, exposed northern areas. The small, yellow-brown fruits are sweet and meltingly juicy when ripe. Harvested in September, they should be eaten within a few weeks.

Please note: A stake and tie are required for all bare-root trees. We recommend a 50mm x 1500mm machine rounded wooden stake with a rubber tree tie for best results. These are available in the online shop under sundries
