Plum 'Avalon' – Plum - Dessert - bareroot tree

The Avalon plum is widely considered one of the finest mid-season dessert plums available. Developed at the Long Ashton Research Station in Bristol and introduced in 1989, this variety was bred as a superior alternative to the famous Victoria plum, ripening roughly 7 to 14 days earlier (usually around mid-August) serves as the ultimate choice for gourmet jams and compotes. It stores cool for 1–2 weeks.

Please note: A stake and tie are required for all bare-root trees. We recommend a 50mm x 1500mm machine rounded wooden stake with a rubber tree tie for best results. These are available in the online shop under sundries
