Plum 'River's Early' – Plum - Dual Purpose - bareroot tree

Also known as 'Early Prolific', this historic 19th-century English variety yields reliable crops of small, round, dark purple plums. It serves as an excellent sharp culinary fruit for early jams in late July, softening into a pleasant, juicy dessert plum if left to fully mature. It has a short storage window of less than a week.

Please note: A stake and tie are required for all bare-root trees. We recommend a 50mm x 1500mm machine rounded wooden stake with a rubber tree tie for best results. These are available in the online shop under sundries
