Plum 'Czar' – Plum - Dual Purpose - bareroot tree

A highly resilient and reliable dark blue-purple plum that is famously tolerant of poor soils and shade. Picked slightly early in early August, it serves as a sharp cooker that bakes into a spectacular rich puree; left to fully ripen, it sweetens into a fine fresh treat. It has a short shelf life and should be used within a few days.

Please note: A stake and tie are required for all bare-root trees. We recommend a 50mm x 1500mm machine rounded wooden stake with a rubber tree tie for best results. These are available in the online shop under sundries
