Plum 'Opal'

A superb, early-season dessert plum often praised as an early, more reliable alternative to 'Victoria'. The medium-sized fruits feature a lovely reddish-purple flush over a yellow ground and hide sweet, juicy, aromatic flesh. Harvested in late July, it should be eaten fresh or kept for up to 5 days.
